Modern location aware applications running on S60 3rd Edition devices like smart2go(TM) aka Nokia Maps use a shared database of POIs (called landmarks).

With POIXpress you can import POI databases in ASC and OV2 format and export landmarks in ASC,GPX and KML format.

So you can share your own landmarks with your friends using different systems or view them on a PC running Google Earth(TM).

Although the number of landmarks isn't limited by the application you should keep the number of landmarks small enough to prevent dramatical slow downs. The number of landmarks depends on your phone model and the applications you intend to use.

The application is very easy to use.

All files are stored and loaded from the memory card folder "E:OthersPOI".

You can e.g. use "Nokia PC Suite" to copy files from / to the memory card.

Please note that there are a lot of popups asking for your permission to access resources like files (only „E:OthersPOI“ is accessed) and obviously the landmarks store. Please allow all of them to use the application as intended.
