Using this PC application you can create custom screensavers for Nokia S60 2nd Edition devices from an animated GIF file.
The created screensaver will be automatically packaged into a SIS installer and is ready to be installed on a S60 2nd Edition device.
The screensaver turns the backlight on (not on 3230,6260,6600,6620,6670,7610) when it starts. (Configurable from 1 up to 30 seconds) During installation a custom text is displayed to the end user.
The created screensavers can be distributed in any way you want.(e.g. free or paid downloads)
Before using this command line application make sure the your system meets the following requirements:
Windows XP SP2 installed
SERIES 60 2ND EDITION SDK FOR SYMBIAN OS, SUPPORTING FEATURE PACK installed (you need to have Active Perl 5.6.1 build 638 installed before) (you can get this for free from forum.nokia.com)
JAVA (Runtime or JDK) 1.5.x is installed (get this for free from java.sun.com)
Please test the provided demo screensaver to make sure the created screensavers are compatible with your desired handsets. If the demo don't works your screensavers made with this application won't work too.
