<s:name>Fun/Some MIDlets</s:name>
        <s:content>__Here are some MIDlets made by me just for fun. You can use them for free if you like 'em. They should all work at least on S60 3rd edition phones.__

1 3D Photo

It's an application to create {link:anaglyph images|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaglyph_image} on the phone. It's for use with cheap red/cyan anaglyph glasses. This prototype is missing the functions to save or send the resulting image but it's still a lot of fun.

Just make a left and right eye photo and see how it looks in 3D.

{image:http://www.mobile-j.de/4nokia/3d/scr.jpg}

Download {link:here|http://www.mobile-j.de/4nokia/3d/3DPhoto.jar}

1 Location Server

The basic idea is very simple. All this small application does is getting the current location of the device (via JSR179) and publishing it via an integrated HTTP Server. So it's very important to choose an access point that assigns your phone a public ip address. Some operators (e.g. T-Mobile Germany) have multiple access points with different abilities.

When everything is okay the application shows you an HTTP address where you can access the location information from the public web. (via Google Maps)

What makes this idea so nice to me is the fact that it turns the phone into an web server. (Something like this is already done by the Apache for S60 project but this I think it's amazing that it's that easy.)

This little application is useful e.g. if my wife want's to know when I'm coming home and the traffic situation isn't very clear. This way I can always get a warm meal in the evening ;-). The application is a raw prototype and has it's rough edges but it demonstrates the whole idea behind it.

__It's unlikely that the normal access point you use to connect to the internet gives you a real public IP. But you can use the settings which are normaly used for connecting laptops to create an access point which really gives you the full internet including a public IP.__

Download {link:here|http://www.mobile-j.de/4nokia/LServ.jar}

1 Grimace

This one is really funny. Take a photo (works best with faces) and warp it into a funny grimace.

Download {link:here|http://www.mobile-j.de/snipsnap/space/Fun/Some+MIDlets/Grimace.jar}</s:content>
