<s:content>1 Curious about Superwaba for Symbian {anchor:Curious about Superwaba for Symbian}
Superwaba announced Superwaba for Symbian. I looked on Waba for Palm some years ago but it wasn't very impressive. But Superwaba really seems to catch up. Maybe this could fill the middle ground development gap between J2ME and the Symbian C++ that {link:Russell Beattie|http://www.russellbeattie.com} is talking about {link:here|http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1008048.html}. \\
\\
I won't swap this in for J2ME since I believe J2ME is a fantastic thing. The only problem with it is that the Midlets are imprisonedin a very restrictive sandbox.\\
I think the sandbox is a good thing in general but the mobile users should not be so incapacitated. I think the user should be given the possibility to open the sandbox if he thinks so. Regardless if the developer purchased a certificate for some hundred bucks a year or not.\\
\\
I'm very curious if Superwaba brings a real development choice for Symbian development.</s:content>
