<s:content>1 Python for Series 60 arrived {anchor:Python for Series 60 arrived}
Python for Series 60 seems to be public available via Forum Nokia.\\
http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/0,,034-821,00.html \\
Something to tinker with while waiting for the delayed release of SuperWaba 5 for Symbian.\\

My first impressions:\\
There are a lot of nice things. (Sockets, Bluetooth, full File-System-Access, support for getting GSM-location information ...). But there are also a lot that's sill missing. (But it's possible to write modules in C++). The things I miss are: support for the audio device, the camera, the basic phone features (initiate a call etc.), binary SMS sending, MMS support, direct screen access, Image support, ... \\
I know these things can be done by extending Python with C/C++ and I believe there will be those modules in the future. But it's a cool thing anyway. \\

But what I really want to see from Nokia is a way to update the Series 60 MIDP implementation myself. (e.g. download a SIS, install and get errors fixed (platformRequest on old 6600 Firmware!) and the new API's (PIM and File). This should be possible!</s:content>
