1 A look at Opera Mini {anchor:A look at Opera Mini} At first I was somewhat disappointed that Opera Mini isn't yet available outside Norway. (But there's PRC file for the Treo somewhere ...). Finally now I have this nice midlet on my phone. Look at this:\\ {image:opera_mini.jpg} It seems my Norwegian is good enough to use it ... (I don't speak a word Norwegian but if you're used to using apps on a phone it works ...) My first impression is that it works better than e.g. Netfront. Thats mostly because a lot of work is done on their proxies and it's only downloaded what's really needed. And I really like this Opera Mini thing because it's Java. I really love to see when java applications become more popular than their native counterparts. By the way: the user agent showing up in my logs is "Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/1.0.1479/HiFi; mobile phone; no; U; ssr)". UPDATE: I found out how to change the UI language to English. Choose "Meny" "Verktoy" "Innstillinger", now choose "Sprak" and there choose "English". Now Opera Mini operates in English.
