JSR-179 Location API for J2ME 
Wow. One month without any posting. I'm a bit lazy, I think.
Today I found out something really interesting. A JSR-179 implementation based on the current cell id of my phone.

The most interesting about this thing done by the "Intel Research Seattle" is that it uses an approach to connect the native Symbian code and the MIDP stuff that I thought of too. Some kind of IPC over local tcp/ip connectivity.
It's compatible with the Nokia 6600 / 6620.
